My obsession with houses began on a dusty backroad in a small town. I grew up on a farm in Midale, not quite in the boondocks, but pretty close. Exactly a half mile down our road was ‘Gordie’s’ which meant if my mom wanted to walk a mile, she went to Gordie’s and back.
I took this trip with her thousands of times. My mom, me on a bike and our golden retriever. No matter how tired my little legs got, I pushed through because at the halfway mark, I got to see this run down, abandoned old house. It was nothing special really. A little two story with no windows left and a door hanging on for dear-life that was always jammed open.
I always found myself imagining what it used to look like or what it could potentially become. This sparked something in me, always looking at homes, new, old and everything in between.
My home is my safe space. It is filled with so many memories of my two children and my husband. We’ve gathered around our dining table with our friends to host birthday parties and reconnected with our loved ones over Christmas dinner. I can’t wait to help my clients find their own homes where they can witness their children’s first steps or see their not-so-little-ones off to university.
I have joined Cornerstone & Co at Coldwell Banker Local Realty and I can’t wait to meet all of you.
A home is a reflection of who you are and who you aspire to be. As a Realtor, my responsibility is to find that special place that fits your life and goals. It’s not just about the house. It’s the ability to turn something tangible into a feeling, a home, a refuge, a safe space.
